L’Arte del Vangelo racconta questa settimana la parabola dei talenti, e lo fa con xilografie e incisioni: vedremo che c’è una spiegazione per questa scelta, che ci aiuta a capire alcune caratteristiche dell’uso delle immagini nel mondo cattolico e in quello protestante dopo lo scisma del Cinquecento.

This week the Art of the Gospel tells the parable of the talents, and does so with woodcuts and engravings: we will see that there is an explanation for this choice, which helps us to understand some characteristics of the use of images in the Catholic world and in Protestant after the schism of the sixteenth century.
